This is the latest location of the Typhoon “Hagupit” or known as Ruby, in the Philippines.
We are expecting a super typhoon as it landfall in the Philippines. But, thank God the storm weakens as it slowly enter the PAR (Philippines Area of Responsibility).
The northern part of Cebu is one of the many places that covers the route of typhoon hagupit. However, the path lifted up a bit going to the southern part of Luzon. Thus, we experienced minimal winds and rainfalls.
We are all happy though again, it took few lives of our countrymen. More or less, there were 8 fatalities reported.
Perhaps, the power of our prayers and all other nations helped a lot by sending message to God to stop the super typhoon. And yes, it was no longer a super typhoon as it enters the country.
I thank God for giving us enough time to prepare, for us to stand firm and to face the storm.
After the storm…
This morning along the road going to my office, along the Cansaga Bridge, I took some pictures and it was beautiful though typhoon hagupit visited us.
Those were some of the pictures I took as I go along the bridge. Even though our are were not that much affected by the typhoon hagupit, but some places suffered a lot. Some Filipino citizens, and other volunteers took the following pictures and were sent to BMPM or “Bayan Mo, iPatrol Mo” website. All the pictures below were credited to the uploaders and the BMPM site:
A lot of people have learned their lessons for the past super typhoon haiyan. Most of them lost their love ones and their cars too. The following pictures were their preventive action against the coming super typhoon hagupit.
It was so sad to see and hear people crying after the storm, losing their loved ones, houses, cars and other properties. Please help me pray to lessened the heart aches of the victims of the typhoon and soon they will recover from their loss. This morning, I saw the sun shining so bright telling the people not to loose hope. I am glad we made it! We survived from the trials we had.
I’m very happy that the bulk of the storm bypassed you, and I’m sorry for the loss of your countrymen and for all the damage the storm caused.

Thanks Cordelia. Most of us expected more damages but I think through the help of prayer, the storm melted like a snow.

I stopped by to thank you for following my blog. I decided to read a bit of yours. I saw briefly the reports of the typhoon as I rarely watch the news. I’ve been through one in Taiwan way back in 1968. It seemed that those who could least afford to lose anything lost the most. It seems to always be the case. You have some wonderful pictures of the area. I’m glad the typhoon was gentler than expected. It’s so hard to see such devastation anywhere and there seems to be so much more than before.

I am glad also that the storm lost its power. There were only few who suffer from the typhoon and we are doing hand in hand to make the affected families feel comfort.
Thanks

After winter there always comes spring and I like this aspect of nature.
Typhoon has caused some causalities but I’m glad that once again life has succeeded in overcoming the fury of nature.
Thank you for sharing these pics which give us a clear idea of the whole scenario

Such a terrible tragedy.
As we move towards the future, with hope in our eyes, such disasters will always stand in our way. But at the end of the day, victory will be ours.
This is a beautiful post. 🙂

Reblogged this on Mommy Jo, Blogs! and commented:
Last few weeks’ experienced were not that easy for us but we are still thankful for all your concerns, your good thoughts, and most especially for all your prayers. I’m happy to tell all of you that we are all fine. We manage to stay still and made it through. But I am so sorry for not giving an update immediately. Things made me sick lately so I just give some time for myself to rest. As a full-time housewife with two kids, plus managing a mini-convenience store takes a lot of pressure. So, please bear with me and hope you’ll stay tuned for more posts. As for now, I am reblogging this one nice article which my husband wrote. You’ll see here how the typhoon devastated some of the areas here in our country, Philippines.
